Corner Apartment, NYC

Greenwich Cabinets delivered all custom millwork for this corner residence at 121 E 22nd Street—the only residential building in New York designed by OMA, led by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Rem Koolhaas. Working in collaboration with Studio WDM, the millwork package was developed to complement the apartment’s clean architectural lines and spatial clarity.

The kitchen features flush, contemporary cabinetry with tailored interior organization to meet the client’s specific storage needs. In the bathrooms, floating vanities contribute to the visual lightness of the space while maintaining functional utility.

One of the project’s most distinctive elements is the fully paneled entry hall, including integrated doors with sculpted black wood handles. A custom sliding panel—entirely hand-carved—was designed to conceal its central joint, allowing the texture to align as the doors open and close without interruption.

Additional custom features include floating cabinetry in the living room for media storage, glass-door closets with integrated LED lighting in each bedroom, and a minimalist office space with floating shelves and under-lighting.
